The core of the network is a Lenovo RackSwitch G8272 switch with 48x 10Gbit/s and 6x 40Gbit/s interfaces
Connected to this switch:
- frontend, with 10Gbit/s (solstorm.iot.ntnu.no)
- shared storage named nas-0-1 and nas-0-2, with 4x10Gbit/s link-aggregated
- shared storage named nas-0-0, with 2x10Gbit/s link-aggregated
- login-node named login-0-0 (solstorm-login.iot.ntnu.no) with 10Gbit/s
Edge switches
Rack 0
In rack 0 the edge switch is a HP ProCurve 2848 with 48x 1Gbit/s interfaces.
Interconnected with switch in rack 2 with 2x 1Gbit/s link-aggregated.

Rack 1
In rack 1 the edge switch are 2x Lenovo RackSwitch G8272 switch with 48x 10Gbit/s and 6x 40Gbit/s interfaces.
Connected to this switch are compute-nodes named compute-1-x and compute-6-x, each with 10Gbit/s.
Connection to core switch is 40Gbit/s per switch.
Rack 2
In rack 2 the edge switch is a HP ProCurve 2910al-48G switch with 48x 1Gbit/s and 2x 10Gbit/s interfaces.
Connected to this switch are compute-nodes named compute-2-x, each with 1Gbit/s.
Connection to core switch is 2x10Gbit/s link-aggregrated.
Rack 3
In rack 3 the edge switch is a Lenovo RackSwitch G8272 switch with 48x 10Gbit/s and 6x 40Gbit/s interfaces each.
Connected to this switch are compute-nodes named compute-5-x, each with 10Gbit/s.
Connection to core switch is 40Gbit/s.
Rack 4
In rack 4 the edge switches are 2x Lenovo RackSwitch G8272 switch with 48x 10Gbit/s and 6x 40Gbit/s interfaces each.
